For example:
July 2015 - June 2016 is consider school year 2015-2016
if u go to school yourself, use your 2015 income
if your kid go to school, use your(=parents') 2014 income.
In case parents have 10% drop in income in 2015(compare to 2014), fill out special forms(1 for mom, 1 for pop), then they use parents' 2015 income. Call AFE for more details.
