GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
(Job's primary purpose or contribution to the department ororganization.)
Plans and directs activities concerned with theestablishment and/or continuance of quality related requirements and otherquality programs.
Plans and coordinates and executes internal qualityactivities and ensures optimization of the CAPA (Corrective Action / PreventiveAction) system within the facility and with external customers. Responsible forperforming clerical work and administrative duties, otherwise Director ofroutine administrative responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TYPICAL FOR MOST POSITIONS:
(Job's essential or most important functions andresponsibilities. Include all important aspects of the job -- whether performeddaily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregularintervals.)
1. Coordinates activities within the organizationin support of quality-based requirements.
2. Coordinates and as required performs DomesticQuality Control activities.
3. Coordinates and as required performs inspectionand analysis of Final Customer Returns and Bulk Retailer Returns and recommendscorrective action.
4. Coordinates the CAPA (Corrective Action /Preventive Action) system, driving internal and external issue resolution,working jointly with Artika Asia QC Manager.
5. Serves as secondary point of contact fordocumentation of Artika Dorval Quality processes. Acts as principal liaison tosupport the documentation process related to product inspection documentation(Inspection Sheets).
6. Acts as primary Canadian liaison for customerquality issues such as audits, product testing (example: TRF Process).
7. Acts as principal coordinator forCustomer-driven Factory Audits.
8. Organizes and maintains online QA/QC folders.
9. Assures data availability and integrity for allquality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
10. Supports QA/QC Director activities as required.
11. All other tasks as assigned by the QA/QCDirector.
Education /Experience:
· Typically requires a Bachelor degree or equivalentexperience and training.
· Typically requires a minimum of 2 years ofrelated experience.
· The person must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with /in Chinafactory site.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Demonstrates operations and technical skills andunderstanding of Artika’s product standards.
· Has awareness of the functional impact of workprocesses and other functions on product quality.
· Ability to perform data entry, using Microsoftoffice software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Language/Communication/ Interaction Skills:
· Ability to write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from Artika staff.
· Able to present, organize and convey problems orissues across departments as well as across different Artika sites.
· Interacts primarily with department members.
· Discusses and presents factual information.
