中国人的房子便宜，但大多数房子都要收定金的（收定金也好，我就知道一个，在国内订了房子，下飞机发现已经租给了别人，然后……哭），你如果这里有朋友，租个差不多的房子，在2月份这应该不难。

提醒大家！！！！！延期护照！！！！！！
l 护照延期不需要本人亲自去中国大使馆。
l 护照有效期超过一年的，中国大使馆不会给予办理延期。
l 获得加拿大永久居民身份五年以上的移民，要提供未入籍证明（如果您刚刚拿到枫叶卡，刚好您的护照又需要延期，可不出示此证明）。由于枫叶卡的派发，此规定可能会有变化，我们会随时跟进使馆的政策并及时通知大家。
l 护照延期所给予的延长期限一般是重复原护照的有效年份，即五年期的护照可延期五年。那么延长期是从哪天算起的呢？许多朋友误认为延长期是从申请之日算起的。因此就尽可能的把申办延期的日期拖到临近过期的日期。实际上，这样考虑是没有必要的（有时还会给自己带来不必要的麻烦－见下一条），因为，不论您在哪一天申办，新的有效期都是从护照过期之日起计算的。
l 请不要持有效期少于六个月的护照去美国或途经美国，美国海关将拒绝您入境。同时航空公司也会拒绝您登机出境去其它国家。而且，办理他国签证或加拿大签证的延期时，也会受到影响。所以护照延期应及时办理。
l 如果您将护照拿回国或拿到其它的国家办理延期，您会被要求提供额外的材料。您现在身在加拿大，最好和最方便的是在这里办理延期。
l 护照延期只是在原护照上加注新的有效期，并不更换您的护照，护照上所有的签证将继续保留。
l 护照延期一定要提供护照原件和在加拿大合法居住的证件（枫叶卡，工作签证，学生签证，访问签证等）
l 护照延期需要一张两寸的照片贴在申请表上。黑白彩色均可。但大使馆不接受生活照及一寸的照片。地铁站的自动照相机是一个经济的选择。
l 到大使馆办理护照延期需要4个工作日。也就是说，从您申请之日起第四天才能拿到办好延期的护照。
l 护照延期可以办理24小时，48小时和72小时加急。
l 护照已过期但未超过六个月时，大使馆仍然会接受您的延期申请。

in order to ensure everybody know our plan of get-together. I put it here again.
Very nice to write to you all. These days I am considering holding a get-together for us to know each other. I want it to be a pleasant and successful one. So I'd like your advice.
My origional plan is like this:
1、We find a place to gather，then find a place to have lunch or dinner, maybe buffet dinner,what about China Town Yu Yuan Pan Xi? Or we can go to Oriental at the Angrignon shopping center, where we can have sushi, shrimp and other tasty Cantonese foods, I think there are more choices,It's about $15 for weekend.It is up to most of us to make a dicision.
2、After that we can go to have a karaoke party, I know a Chinese club on Ste-Catherine Street where we can sing and with reasonable price, but i am not sure whether they offer enough mainland songs or not,if you know a better one, please propose it for us to consider.
