标题: 预约面谈时间然后面谈就完了。
先去美国使馆的网站上挑个自己合适的日子预约面谈，需要准备信用卡付预约费。' H" w4 M( X. H7 g3 f; n
网上预约的时候就留下你的护照等身份信息，千万要核对清楚，不然过后修改很麻烦。+ x7 j2 g: W: E3 Y
预约成功之后会当时得到一个确认的号码，过后三四天就收到使馆的来信再次确认你的预约并提醒你如何去面谈以及要带的材料。这封信很重要，里面有一张打印的带有你号码的纸，凭这张纸才能进使馆的门。# g, q1 I  x8 f( @& J
到了签证面谈的那天，带着一百美元现金钞票的签证费和符合标准的证件照片、护照以及其他有用的材料特别是这封信里的这张纸去使馆。
$ H+ h) H8 W- [+ Z0 m经过安检之后上楼，先交费，再等待叫号跟你谈话。
' g. l% T/ \2 l3 O" V: o谈完了就告诉你下午几点钟过来取护照，但是不一定就给你签，反正钱是已经收去了，就像在世界各地的美国领事馆一样。

I need to go to US during Christmax. i checked the calender on website. there is no appoinment available in December in montreal. what should i do? how can i make an early appoinment? Can i call them to schedule an early appoinment? 5 G: T4 X& E: U5 x/ C% e4 C

你可以打电话试试看,但估计难度比较大,这种政府机构的规定都比较死.

每天使馆就给那么有数的几百个名额，如果网上预约已经没了，估计就没有多大可能性了。但是不排除取消的可能。你多上网溜达溜达吧，也许能碰上哪天突然一个倒出的空来。

我想可以的吧。但是人家总要问你，在蒙特利尔带的好好的，跑渥太华来签证，不费劲吗？反正赶上圣诞节，也没办法了。既然你都约上时间了，就去好了。我想不会因为你跑到渥太华去申请就拒绝你的道理。祝你好运。

finally, i got an appointment in montreal, thank you for your reply! it is really helpful!the thing is my appoinment is at 9:30am, but i have en exam at 2Pm. as per your experience, how long will it take for the entile visa application. can i catch my exam on time? thanks a lot
