我的父亲是一位跳舞高手，刚从国内移民到蒙特里尔。他很希望找到一个免费跳舞的地方和大家切磋舞艺和交友。谢谢！erose200266@yahoo.com

I assume that your father is 跳舞高手 of social dance or ballroom dance.
In the summer, he can go to free dances in some parks.
In the winter, there isn't any place to dance for free here.
My suggestion is that
he can go to some low-cost parties to meet up with other dancers.
Try Friend club's dance party, Lily club dance party, ..., etc.

I went to dance there a couple of times
but I thought that the weekly Saturday night dance
at Pepsi forum was already over a couple of weeks ago.
Will there be one this coming Saturday ?
If there is, I might go to check it out again.

A freind confirmed that there won't any more free Saturday night dance at the Pepsi forum.

Now the next free dance would be Liliy club's activity next Thursday.

Friend club's dance would be on Saturday, January 8.
It is not free but it only costs $4.
A dance teacher will give a lesson from 7pm to 8pm.

Arthur Murray's free dance is resumed at the Forum.
The next one is on next Saturday, Apr 2, from about 8:30pm to 10:30pm.

It is in the Pepsi forum in the corner of St. Catherine st. and Atwater st.

The dances are social dances like chacha, swing, samba, waltz, mambo, salsa, merengue, ..., etc.

标题: Outdoor dancing in the parks
In the summer, there are a few municipalities around Montreal
that offer ballroom or line dance music by DJ in the parks.

The first one available this summer is in Verdun.
It'll start this Saturday, May 28,
and continues every Saturday until mid-September.
There is a big area near the river for dancing.

Activity: Ballroom dance music and occasional line dance music.
Time: 6:30pm to 10pm every Saturday in the summer.
Location:
Serres municipales, 7000 Lasalle Boulevard,
Near Stephens Street, in front of the Douglas hospital.

By public transport:
LaSalle or De L'église Metro (green line).
Take bus 58 (Wellington), going west.

By vehicle:
Take highway 15 south (Décarie).
Exit "de la Vérendry" and continue for 2,2km.
Turn left on Stephens Ave.
Continue till the end of the road.
Turn right on LaSalle Blvd.
Park on LaSalle Blvd.
You're There! The site is on the shore side.

In the same Verdun park location as the above post,
there will be 3 afternoon swing dance parties.
Saturdays June 18,
August 13,
September 10

Swing l’ete is a free of charge venue promoting swing dancing. Many dance schools from Montreal, like Cats Corner and the Studio 88-Swing / Swinging Air Force, participate and offer introduction course and a swing demo. There are also many guest DJs and a lot of dancers (for sure!). Last year about 300 persons met under the sun to party !

So Swing l’ete is the perfect occasion to introduce your family and friends to swing dancing (and finally answer the famous question: What is swing dancing?) See you under Verdun’s bright sun !

12h : Come to do a picnic at this very green and lovely location !

12h30-13h30 : Free swing introduction course offered by Cat's Corner, bring along your friends and family !

13h30-17h30 : Swing l'ete free outdoor dancing, many guest DJs !
