You can go to the Regie( Which is a court!) to get the calculation table which the landlord will use to calculate the increment. With this table, you will know what items will be considered by the landlord for increasing the rent. Then you can give your objection to the court. I made a mistake, the court date is October 26th. I have enough time to get your guys info and prepare well. Usually the property owner could only increase 3% (someone told me there is change to this number) annully. This increase is in the consideration of annual inflation rate. If the owner did some renovation or improvement in your apartment he is entitled to increase your rent more than the 3%. Don't worry too much just answer the judge's question honestly. Rental board is usually tenent friendly.
