If it were me -> NEVER, not even IF my neigbour pile their ugry shoes out. It's simply not proper.
Furthermore, u may want to move your own winter small carpet indoor, IF ANY. No matter how beautiful u may think it is, everyone's taste is different. Why put it back indoor <- public area means PUBLIC, not yours. Don't mind me as I am picky.
