EI is not eligible for "earned income", so your eligible child care expense could be zero if you have no other earned income, meaning that you would be refunded nothing with Quebec, and deducted zero with Fed. (unless you studied for some period during the taxation year, and you spouse may be eligible for some deduction or refund)
