标题: 有没有人收到过Energy Cost Benefit(ECB)
刚收到一张支票是由Canada Customs and Revenue Agency汇来的,说是给孩子的一次性,免税的为help you deal with higher energy costs. 感觉很奇怪,因从未申请过这项福利, 有知道的朋友能解释一下吗.谢谢!

The Energy Cost Benefit targets low-income families and seniors, based on their 2005 income, by linking the payment to recipients of the National Child Benefit Supplement, which phases out at income levels of $32,000, a recent increase, and to recipients of the Guaranteed Income Supplement and Allowance which phases out at similar levels.

记不清是去年底还是今年初报上登了，这是给有孩子家庭的冬季取暖补贴。羡慕中。。。;)
