What are 快鍋和慢燉鍋? Pressure cooker and slow cooker?
Pressure cooker (remove knob and ***WAIT*** for ? min. before opening cover, some people ended up in hospital)
- reduce cooking time by ~66% @15 lb gauge(the heavy metal little knob on cover) due to 250C cooking temp.
- Nutrients and flavor well conserved in vegetable
- toughen protein + affect flavor adversely in meat + soup
- Silly Wudi used this to cook her rice. Well, it's do-able.
Slow cooker =Crock-pot
- popular in 70s, 1 pot meal for busy housewife.
- tones of cookbook on this.
- famous for starting stews/soup in morning/evening, meal ready when finish work.
(may not be safe to leave appliance running when nobody's home)
