我也想问一下，我是2006年12月27日寄出去的申请（申请费是在网上交的，有打印付费成功的receipt一起连申请信寄出）看大家收到第一封信的时间好像都在1个月之内，可是我到现在都没有收到第一封信（到今天为止1个月11天了），是不是很奇怪，难道信寄丢了吗？大家都是用挂号信寄的申请还是普通平信呢？

Don't worry. I think you will receive your 1st lettre in the upcoming days. Just be patient.

If you want, you can also useyour permament resident card number to check your application status online:

别着急，现在入籍进程慢下来了，2、3个月都不稀奇。何况他们刚刚放完圣诞假，都在打年盹儿呢，哪有心情干活。

这种重要信件最好还是寄挂号，要签字的那种。以后有据可查。

Yes, you have to.

That's a 'must'. The CIC has all the information from US/Canadian border or airlines.

没收到做指模信更好啊，省事。我搬了两次家，近期还准备搬。我想进度只能靠运气了，就象有的人被要求做指模而有的人却不要。

你打电话去，他们会问你几个人申请，有没有小孩一起申请，然后会给你寄来家庭装的申请表，小孩有一张单独的表格。成人每人共计200￥，小孩100￥。

just on the phone with CIC officer for 18mins. He said the processing time in Montreal will be longer. Montreal Office is adv. them that the test date should be 17 months after Syndey receive application!!!!

Seems will wait and wait and wait!!!

It seems that cases were trasfered to M on the same day. Keep watching..
Never mind if the average processing time is prolonged, just be patient and wish ourselves good luck, as we do not have much to choose .

贴几个从http://www.settlement.org 看来的，最近的别人的进度，都是montreal的，有些人真的很快，也不知道为什么！:confused:

Applied in September 2006
Processing started in December 2006
File transferred to Montreal office in December 2006
Received letter requesting fingerpints in February 2007 (got them done within a week after getting the letter)
Test done in April 2007
Oath in May 2007
