平时很少用电话，上网也很多时候只查点新闻，有时候也用ＢＴ，但用得也不多．
所以觉得用ＢＥＬＬ的有点浪费．
今天发现了这个．

Primus is based in Toronto，在Montreal好像不提供Local电话服务。

Primus was the first to offer IP phone in Montreal. Friend who used it said " . . .not perfect but OK" . . . . IMPORTANT: it was only used as 2nd phone besides Bell.
Reminding everyone there is a $4 rebate if u buy their modem @$99.95 or gateway @69.95. Gateway are for people who are already using Videotron or Rogers Cable internet(=has their modem).

看来要先装本地固定电话后，才能申请ＩＰ电话．
还真麻烦啊．如果这样的话，和ＢＥＬＬ比也不会便宜．

No u don't need to 先装本地固定电话. Sorry, I cannot tell u whether Primus is completely reliable. If u have mobile phone, then IP home phone definitely save money.
I would definitely advice against a friend of mine, over 70, to switch over to IP phone, any company.

primus是从bell处lease的线路，质量和bell 一样的
这个bundle是固定电话不是ip 电话，而且上下载没有流量限制

chao2006, I am not sure if u use gateway or modem for 贝尔的高速网, please be reminded that u may still get $4 discount/month if u buy the equipement. Check with Primus yourself. Yes, your phone bill will go to $11.95+tax.
"而且什么来电显示，呼叫等待，通话详情等等乱七八糟的功能都是免费的" I'm confused, didn't think there is any extra function with $15.95 phone.

primus还未在我所在的区lafleur提供服务，我问了Videotron，最便宜的套餐（电话+600K上网，每月限1G下载流量）都要税后50多元。大家还有什么好介绍吗？

primus的bundle没用过，不敢乱说，不过他们的IP加bell的1M以上的网络，效果不敢说好的不得了，至少没感觉和bell电话有啥区别，我家挂的是5M高速，我朋友公司挂的是1M高速，都是我安装的，所以还敢出来说几句。进入primus的portal可以看话单，这好像是其他公司都没有的。
首先，为了装BELL的网，就要先有BELL的电话号码。等装了网后，还要把BELL的电话转成IP电话。风险：这样做的话，要损失BELL的初装费。
好处：每月大概可以少10元，电话号码不变。
不知道我说的程序对不对？:confused:

Thanks for your detailed explaination. I live in Montreal and would said average 2-3 power outages/yr., depending on area u live. Most of my friends are elderly/wheelchairs/ living alone/in old age homes, we have diff. criteria to consider. 关于dryloop的问题
我今天又问了一下，说那个dryloop还是有初装费的，而且用dryloop申请的BELL高速网会有30G的流量的限制
代理说总之还是BELL的电话加BELL的高速网最好
我原计划是BELL的高速网加上网络电话，看来不行了
懂的DX也帮忙看看

我刚才也搞定了一个BELL的高速网计划（不要BELL的电话） 就是29.95（前8个月）无合同的 还有15的设备邮寄费 无流量限制
接线员叫 HUGO，不错的一个小伙子（还会点中文）

为什么你的还要一个DRYLOOP号码呢？
我现在用的是3M的，BT下载速度经常在280K左右，不知道换了电话公司后会不会受影响？
另外每个老用户是不是每推荐一个人都能得到10块钱？

我问过，只用告诉他们就可以从BELL转过去，如果不搬家又想转回BELL，也只用跟他们讲就可以了，搬家仍要交初装费。但我就怕是IP电话，因网速不够（500kbps）而效果不好。如果真是普通电话，应该合算，明天再问问。

Unless u need to download movie or watch TV with highspeed (I have never done either) . . . just use Primus:
1. Big name, don't have to worry much
2. Anything wrong with 宽带 or 电话, just 1 call and they can't say it's somebody else fault.

Little note: If your family or close friend(s) are using Vonage or whatever else, u may want to use same company. Reason= most IP co. offer unlimited calls(free Cdn<->US) amongst their clients.

来来回回用了三次Priums了，但保证以后不会再用了。我的感觉是：技术和质量挺好，在这方面没什么可抱怨的。但是，服务和诚信实在差到了极致，都不知道用什么来形容。建议：如果图它的质量和价钱而选用了这家公司，一定要详细阅读它的各项条款，包括每一次账单上面的每一个字。如果有了问题，要用十二分的耐心打电话去讲，因为一个问题通常需要打很多很多个电话才能解决。不要像我，因为脾气比较急，三天两头都要和Priums的人在电话上吵一架，那种日子并不怎么好过。
今天没时间了，以后一定要详细写写和Primus之间那些让人冒火的事。

我个人还是用PRIMUS吧，因为毕竟用到现在来说感觉很不错，不管是效果或者服务、还有价格
押金合同都不需要，收费非常清晰，还送一个月使用，而且毕竟大公司毕竟让我放心

I should be transfering my phone to Primus in the next few days. To share info:
- `Basic Home Phone`($19.99), this is regular phone not VOIP phone,
- 'High Speed Light' ($10), unlimited 500k/128k (up/down or down/up, can't remember)
Yes, it`s a total of $29.99+2 taxes, modem included. Not sure if there is Shipping charge for modem. No contract.
These are the same in '$35 Trio Package', no Long Distance(-$5/mth). Anyone else considering Primus be warned that there is ~$3.95/$4.95 network charge whenever u dial long distance. The $5 also include $1 LD plan charge.
If any of u can get credit/bonus from Primus for new sign up, please feel free to PM me your phone# and time for me to call. I only call mornings.

3. 首月免费的促销现在还有吗= Don`t know.
If u use Prepay Calling Card like me, why don`t u do what I`m doing. Just sign up for the 2 funtions for $30 instead of $35.
I`ve got no reply so far for referal bonus, I`m signing up tomorrow. I don`t have internet at home these days, I won`t be back to SinoQuebec for another few days.

天下乌鸦一般黑。前天收到帐单发现他们还是做了手脚，我只是要求加internet，他们自动将我的计划变成trio，我立刻打电话过去声讨，当然他们也立刻更正了。。。这帮人，总是要耍花招。长话服务，你不打，就没有任何费用，我在电话里再三让他们确认了。等等下个月帐单就知道了，如果有错，接着声讨。。。
