最近想买个SONY 数码的R1相机，朋友建议去美国买，一来质量比加拿大好，二来价格比加拿大低很多，还不用交税。# h$ K% }+ I: W" w
不知上述信息是否属实，请去过美国的朋友帮个忙

-  are u willing to drive over or mail the equipment for repair in case of problem?
# \; W4 r5 G9 A+ T: i-  if going to US, why not have your friend bring from China?  Think people on this web site mentioned that electronics are much newer and cheaper in China.

过海关的时候，就是说进加拿大的时候，很可能让你补交17% 的关税。如果你在美国停留48 小时以上，买的东西在200$以下，那就不用交了。

我觉得这17%好象不是关税。如果你查海关的税率表，美国产的相机是免税的，日本产的好象也免税。但如果带回来一个新的相机，海关会让你交14。5%的消费税，就象你在加拿大境内买东西要付的税一样。
