I wondering which material you used to pass your CPA exam?
Which courses you had took to be able to pass the exam?

Currently I am studying in Concordia. I am planing to do my CPA exam this summer. But the thing is I didn't take ACCO420 &450. dO YOU think I can still pass the exam by using Backer's material?

8 月份我考了最后一门auditing, 正在等成绩。希望能过！！！！

正在准备报考CPA但还没有开始的学友，我劝大家想想清楚为什么要考CPA。是为了找工作容易吗？如果你要去美国，当然要考CPA，如果为了要在加拿大找工作CGA才是最现实的，找工作也很有用。

在这里重发我写的考试攻略，希望对正在备战的考友有帮助：

         我一共考了两次REG，                 这次是5月29 日考得，昨天一查成绩81 分通过。我的REG经验值得正在奋战的学友们参考。

         

        首先说，我现在全职工作，part time 读MBA （每学期2-3门课）， part time 考CPA，                 有小孩，没有任何TAX经验，本科修过一门美国税法。

         

        第一次考REG我用了一个月的part time 时间，我没有用任何书，和朋友share了Becker 的题库，把Becker的法律部分题做了两遍并仔细研读了题目的解释，这些法真是讨厌，                 除了sales and contract，                 其他法我都没听说过，总之看了个似懂非懂。税法只用了大概3天作了一遍题并看了解释。匆匆上阵，68分。

         

        几个月后再战REG，当然这几个月内没看REG。这次准备REG我用了两个月的时间，在准备REG期间，我没有修MBA的课，全职上班，要照顾孩子。孩子已经比较好带了（6岁）。我买了本Wiley 的书。                 起初，我也是花了点儿钱做了一遍Becker 的题                 （3-4天时间），发现我以前的学习竟然忘得干干净净。比较了一下Becker的题和Wiley的书，觉得Becker太粗了，后来放弃Becker了，改用wiley. 后来的考试证明，我当时的决定是非常明智的。Becker的所强调的重点，的确是知识重点但不足已覆盖考题。                 我的很多MC较偏，一道simulation 也较偏                 （兴好，在考前几个小时，我作了Wiley2008版书后的三套模拟题，竟被赌中了）。这种话可以在这说吗？整个备考过程中，我仔细读了一遍书，两天/大章，一天/小章。Wiley的书实在太细了，看得我信心全无，作了所有的练习，重点的东西大概记住了，犄角旮旯的东西基本没记住，然后，时间有限，不能把题全部在做一遍了，只能把第一遍做错的题又做了一遍。被打击得一蹋糊度（很多题是比较偏的，做两遍还是记不住，只是有了印象。）                 考前，彻夜没睡，做了Wiley书后的3套模拟题，至少赌中了10 个MC (考点相同) 和一个simulation. 我写来写去发现自己像Wiley卖书的。我只是想告诉大家，真正的考试题题目有的很偏，如果备考的时候只抓重点，放弃偏题，考试中即使重点内容的分数100%全拿，偏题的分数全放，是一定过不了的。当然，有的牛人可以用common sense 和自己的经验判断也能拿住偏题的分数，可能对这种人来说，题目没有偏不偏之分。可是，对于我来说，没看过的题肯定做不对，看过的却没记住的也做不对，没有common sense和判断能力。

         

        我的BEC和FAR 没太多可说的，分享一下经验，但愿不要误导大家：

         

        BEC，                 我用了两周                 （全职，正好有假），没看书，做了全部Becker的题并仔细读了题后解释，考前把先前作错的题又做了一两遍，82分。

         

        FAR，                 一个月时间（part time）,其间大概半个月的时间都用在了non-profit 和 government 上。除了我认真读了Wiley的non-profit 和 government 这两部分的书之外，其余的，我只做了一两遍的Becker的题。我所有的三门考试都是第一遍做对的题，不会在做了，之前作错的题再作一两遍。

         

        我的BEC和FAR的经验告诉我，Becker对于BEC和FAR足够了。

         

        还有最后一门Auditing，我觉得考试满难的，有很多题拿不准，我这次用的是Wiley的书和Wiley的CD题库，由于准备的还是比较仓促，很多知识点都记不大清楚，如果这次过不了，我打算把书再仔细的读一遍，题再认真地作作。 Wiley 的书实在太细了，没有重点，面面具到，对于时间紧的人来说可能不大适用， 对于想考高分或保证安全通过又有时间的人来说非常合适。我在考REG的时候遇到很偏的题，所以在备考auditing的时候，试图记住所有知识点，其结果可想而知。我所遇到的Auditing的MC考题没有REG偏，但Simulation挺偏的，所幸俺赌上了一道communication。 俺这次没用Becker的资料，对BECKER没法评论。
