i don't have a will.
you don't need a lawyer to make your will legal.
but with the help of a lawyer your will can be executed as you had wished.

if i want to make a will, i will get some help from a lawyer, because 1. i don't know all my rights, 2. I don't know how to express my wishes in legal terms.

I found free Will Kit from web before, reference below.  If u have lots of assets, lots of relatives, pay a notary or lawyer to write up a will.  The Vietnamese female notary (advertise in Chinese newspaper) charge $250-300.

I'd like to remind everyone of other possible problems - a friend die, his partner(married) need to change phone#, internet provider, etc. (I don't know details)

While most lawyer+notary can set up your will, don't expect too much from them.  It'll be done properly, just don't expect much time from them.  It's really easy:
1.  download from web, OR
2.  buy a Will Kit from Bureau en Gros or wherever else, (yes, they all sell them, sort of next to Rental Agreements)

U will get to know more by reading yourself.  I paid lawyer to have my will done years ago, I sign+paid, didn't really know much.

在我多年艰苦+热忱地吃光了所有我的钱钱。No need renew!! :p

BTW, anyone find good link(s) for will for Quebec, please post. A friend of mine is looking for it too.
