OTTAWA - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public not to consume, distribute or sell the "irate's Gold - coins Chocolate Milk" brand Sherwood described below. The product is withdrawn from the market because of the positive results of tests to detect melamine.
The product is sold in 840 g containers containing 240 pieces each, bearing UPC 0 36077 11240 7 and lot code 1928S1. It is sold nationwide in stores Costco, and can also be sold individually or in bulk at various stores in bulk or "dollar stores" across the country.
If the identity of the original product and UPC are not obvious, it advises consumers to check with the retailer to determine if they have purchased the affected product. Retailers and distributors should also stop distributing and start a voluntary recall.
No cases of illness have been reported. The health risk associated with these products is considered low. Melamine is a chemical used in a number of commercial and industrial applications. Canada does not allow its use as a food ingredient.作者: 想想 时间: 2008-10-24 19:06
