标题: Why does he/she do that?
Because my chinese typing is too bad, I put it here in English. Hoping somebody can give me some hint on this.$ S7 k& y2 P" V

K! g, o1 K( UDue to unemployment, I have become an owner of a depanneur. But the job is too havey that I have to hire somebody to work a few hours for me. Among the last few employees, there is a common thing they do regularly which I do not quite undertand.  I am new as a depanneur owner. Hope some experienced folks can help me clear the doubt.

Intentionally or unintentionally, but regularly, S/He takes some high valued goodes and scan into the cacher (computerized) machine, then S/He had to refund them.  Checked the saled record, all seems ok. Except that everyday, there will be record of refund of about 50-150$.  The explaination is accidentally scanned in and had to refund. Other reason is typed in the wrong amount and had to refund and correct.  That is ok. But the problem is that this happened everyday with bigger and bigger amounts.  Checked the vedeo camera record, one of the lady even deliberately scanned an item in and refund it for multiple times while processing one of the transations. The final sales amount for the transaction is most of the time correct.

Honestly, they are doing their job and the customers do not have problem with them and even happy with their service. There may be nothing wrong with them. But I am still worried about the kind of strange behaviours, esp, when it becomes an habit and happens everyday. Hope some experienced folks or experts can give me some hint on it.

Sometimes I may be interested in something but not sure about the price.  Most likely would ask cashier, then not wanting to buy it as it`s expensive.  May be u want to check if your price tags are clear on those expensive items?

Thanks for your 2 cents. Unfortunately, I am 100% sure that was not the case. His explaination does says only mistyped in or scanned in the price by mistake. He/She knows all the prices and do not smoke or drink (never bought anything).  Besides, if it is just interrested in the prices, he/she should be just asking me instead.

It is really strange thing. According to my experiences, now that you have computerized cashier system and camera monitoring system, you know how to do it. I mean, every transaction is recorded in your computer cashier system and relevently every customer coming and going, even their handing the money to your employee and your employee's putting the money into your cashier drawer might be recorded also in your camera system. Ok now, if you suspect one transaction, you just pick out the transaction content whatever they are valued or minor amount. Since you have the time also recorded accordingly either in transaction or camera records. So what you do is just review the transaction processes and camera records to find where they put the money. if your camera system and cashier system can not function like this, may be you may improve your system to avoid such strange thing.
