Racism played into everything dominantly in North America sixty years ago.
Racism played into lots of things significantly thirty years ago.
But it played into few things nowadays in North America with less and less impacts.
As one commentator puts it:
"So who was in the car that was chased and crashed? The two Asians who were pushed into the water? Or their friends?
Racism played a part in the confrontation on the pier. But racism's role is much less clear in the car crash. And that's the serious part of this crime.
Think a little here. Risky to assume we know better than the judge, who had access to much more information than we do.
