there are fireworks in many different areas, the big one is in the old port at 10:30pm.
Get off at metro Station Place-d'Armes , which is the closest metro station to China town, then walk south to the river side.
The walk takes about 10 minutes.

There is a disco band beforehand at 9:15pm.
