At last I pass by Second Cup the other day, they didn't have the cookie on shelf.  The girl said it's 2 pieces of BUTTER COOKIES with ~Raspberry Jelly in the middle.  It sound right.

For myself I see Shortbread as the king of Butter Cookies.  But normally cookbook divide these 2 into 2 different type.  Buy some from stores to try.  Or try some recipe on web, video on U-tube.

太高兴了! 终于帮人 帮了自己!

我昨天写 below :p ,不知何故 总感觉 Sable 这个字很 "按门铃" (=ring a bell :p ) 。

在我试过的所有食谱里,最记得的是 从报纸上看到的 用碎蛋黄做的 butter cookie,好味道哦!。 (Google Translate: COOKIE 真的叫 饼干 :p ),最记得 是因为 我失去了食谱

原来 用碎蛋黄做的 cookie 就是 Sable

1)  I believe there's a Sable in the Peek Freans line,

1 cup (150 gr) flour
8 tablespoons (100 gr) butter
2 1/2 oz (75 gr) sugar
2 hard boiled eggs, yolk only
grated rind of 1 lemon

2 egg yolks, at room temperature
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp fleur de sel, finely ground
1/4 cup sugar
6 Tbs superfine sugar
17 Tbs unsalted butter, (2 sticks + 1 Tbs)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 drops almond extract
