小弟我正在申请入籍,有两个关于时间的问题,不知道有没有同胞了解:
1. 去年公司派我去中国和德国出差了几个月,请问,这几个月的时间算不算我居住在加拿大的时间? 由于是因公出差,所以是不是出示一下公司的证明什么的仍然可以算作在加拿大的居住时间?
2. 在拿到枫叶卡之前在加拿大的时间是折半的,请问有没有时间的上限? 比如说两年算作一年,那么三年就算作一年半?
3. 听说只计算申请入籍前的四年里在加拿大的居住时间,如果我来加拿大十年了,那前六年就不被计算了么?

1. 如果是加拿大公司派去国外,算在你居住在加拿大的时间。
3. 只算四年,所以你前六年不算。
2. 先回答问题3,就是因为,如果按照四年满足三年的居住条件,最多只有两年的非移民时间可以折算,所以不会出现三年折半的情况。

你出公差的情况属于 Allowable Exception: 移民局的操作文件中明确指出这是可以的:
5. Is the physical absence caused by a clearly temporary situation such as employment as a missionary abroad, following a course of study abroad as a student, accepting temporary employment abroad, accompanying a spouse who has accepted temporary employment abroad?
Example of an allowable exception: the applicant obtains permanent residence in Canada and is offered a job here. After beginning his employment here, she is asked by her employer to serve abroad for one year to help manage an important business venture. The applicant then returns here after the assignment is completed to resume her work in Canada.
所以你如果打算现在申请,那就要把出公差的这段时间的文件准备清楚,移民局会花时间调查的。举几个会被拒的例:
1. The employer phone number not stated on an adult application, the area code for a person’s employment is different from their home area code, or employer cannot be contacted.
2. A letter of employment is signed by the applicant or by a member of the applicant’s immediate family.
3. Work outside Canada is presented as assignment by a Canadian company when applicant or relative is the actual owner or shareholder of the company.
审查肯定是需要额外的时间。你自己决定。
