If you sponsor relatives who are not part of your immediate family (your father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, a dependent child who has a child or a near relative who is a minor and an orphan), you must show that you have had at your disposal for at least 12 months and continue to have at your disposal sufficient financial resources for the duration of the undertaking (see financial standards).
