标题: 自家楼下吃罚单
上周的事，自家楼下，1545 Rue Decarie，道路中间是虚黄线，平时很多人掉头，那天很急，掉头时对面有车过来，没在意再后面就是警察，掉完头，被警察拦下了，吃了一个罚单，75刀，罚单上写的是：making a U-turn on a public roadway at a place other than an intersection.
请问：意思是说这样道路上不能掉头吗，当时我停在路边，道路中间是虚黄线？在这儿很多人掉头。还是因为我掉头时没考虑对方车辆呢？我这样的情况可以申诉吗？谢谢！

No driver of a motor vehicle shall make a U-turn on a public road.
Notwithstanding the first paragraph, the driver of a motor vehicle may make a U-turn at an intersection where no traffic light is installed. In making such a turn, the driver shall keep to the right of the centre of the intersection.

申诉的胜率很低,因为你的确是违章,所以只能认罚了,如果当时你作u turn时的速度不是很快的话,就可能不会扣点,否则还会有扣点的记录.这必须看当时的情况而定.但你作uturn时是真的要小心再小心,因为绝大多数都是违规的,下次一定要多家注意,本人意见仅供参考.

这个跟是不是在自家门口没关系，违章呆着了就该罚。我朋友在自家门口挪车，没系安全带，还领张罚单呢。75刀，太便宜了！

我也这么干。这下要注意了。这里的问题可能是说不清是不是仅仅挪挪车。

那我家楼下的路是双向两车道的，也就是一个方向一个车道，可以U-turn？
