In my case, I used one router connecting with two computers and one DSL modem.
At first, I setup my router to using DHCP mode, but to my surprise, all the two computers cannot get IP address from the router.
At last, I have to use static IP address, it is strange that all computers can ping each other but only one computer (XP) can use internet without setup DNS. After I checked the DNS address from the router and setup it to other computers, all computers can work perfectly.
The router which I bought from computer smart shop is cheap, only $40(include tax).
Two computers install winXP.
