Posts below have either this or that problem
or misleading.
Setup is very simple.
1. Make sure u enable Router's DHCP, this can be
change back later if you don't like DUCP. But it is simple.
2. If you like static ip, you can set each machine
as 192.186.x.x or 10..x.x.x not 172.18.x.x. 192
or 10. are ip address which is not routable,which
is used for private IPs.
3. If you don't have domain controler (assuming u
don't setup a domain). Just put all machines in
same workgroup, something like 'mygroup'.
That is.
If you want them all on internet, set the router
as Gateway. You need check the ip of the Gateway
which is router's ip, usually it is 192.168.x.x or
10.0.x.x. This typically is a class C IPs.
