I took five months to complete the procedure for application. I submitted
my application in november 2000 and finished the last procedure in march
2001.  

Because of the vacation at the end of year, my case is longer than
those normal  case, I think.  I took also a finger-print test because
my name is similiar to that of someone else. I live in Montreal.  

You'd better contact with Immigration center in Montreal to know the
status of your application. Have you moved since your application.
If you change the address, you should make the immigration center
know it.  Good luck!
