As your primary credit card, it's not suitable, for it's not as widely accepted as VISA or Mastercard. Many stores do not accept it. Only good as a secondary or backup credit card.

Just like other cards, some types have(such as Platimum card), some types don't have(such as Air Miles affiliated card).

What I heard is AMX charge more than Visa/MC (to the stores) and besides, AMX did not pay much attentions on Canada before. However, AMX is accepted very well in US and Europe.

As far as I know, AMEX has minimum annual income requirement. :rolleyes:
