在这里，向您这个年纪的是个有八个是搞计算机的，这个行业失业率非常高， 总之千万别抱很高的幻想。

嘻嘻.... 現在大把公司搬去中國, 連 nortel 都把科研中心搬去中國, 我有個朋友, 佢在 nortel 工作那個部門, 差不多全部人 get fired, 他自己笑言是一個 survivor..... 呵呵... 如果任何人想 在加拿大安安定定做it工作, 真係有少少不切實際, 不如諗下其他方面攪攪, 總好過坐困愁城.

Every one said here are from heart. It is absolutely correct. Friend, if you really have good job in China. Don't come to Canada NOW! If some day you see , there are no more complains, then you can come. In North American, the unemployment rate for computer science(include telecommunication) are very high since 2001. Till now there is no sign of decrease(I mean the unemployment rate). I did not take a statistics, but I am sure over 80% Chinese new immigration came here cannot find a job. My standard for immigration is:
1. if you are a TAN GUAN, Canada can be you asylum. You can escape from the punishment of Chinese gov temp. if you immigrated to Canada.
2.  if your are poor, your income is lower than RMB 1000/month and you have no chance to become a leader of your company or department in the near future and you also do not satisfied with you current situation, you must consider of immigrating to Canada. Here there are more chances for you, because you lost nothing if you come here, so you can have a good mood to start your new striggle trip.
3. if your income is not so low, say around 4000-5000/month, I strongly suggest that you do not come to Canada.
4. if your income is above 6000/month and your position is stable and permernent, I will say you are crazy if you still insist to immigrate to Canada!

I don't think so. China has her advantages and disadvantages, Canada too. Everyone has his own idea to live here. Go ahead, let others comment. By the way, here there are a lot of chances to work, but you should have the idea to equeal to every one. Work with hands and work with brain, no matter what, every one should proud to the working people because this world is made from hard working of every one. Wish you success to immigrate.

come here will be a new start.
Be prepared your advantage, your belonging be come nothing here. That include your ability to earn money, your ability of good attitude of life, or even your family. All of above is possible. Be aware of what is 人生的起落。

People spend 1 month or 3 years or more time to find out their strength/the right way in this new environment, all depend on the personality, oppotunity. I think, most of immigrant still strugling for "better", in different level

It vary on different people. It is hard to foresee.
