Your wife can stay 6 months from the date she entered Canada. She can also request an extension for another 6 months on a condition that you will still have a valid work permit at the end of the extended 6 month period.

; P) x# ]! U- J. YThe 3 month validity you mentioned is not the period of time your wife can stay in Canada. That is the time your wife must enter Canada after she got her visa.
