Phyllo
To help save Wudi's time(so she can tell me all about northern hotpot in the other posting):
1) download cookbook from http://www.krinos.ca/en/recipes.asp, do a word search on Spinach
(The pitures look good, reipe stupid, but it should works)
(There is another big company that make this for long time, can't recall name)
2) check out recipes printed on phyllo packings,
3) look up the word Spanakopita" on web, tones of links
first posting: http://www.eco-natural.com/recipes/spanakopita.html
(can skip the green onion and use dry dill, skip it if u don't have it)
Phyllo are normally used by Middle Eastern and the Mediteranean in both deserts and main dishes. Besides recipe that u find on the web or cookbook:
1) I thow in all my leave over cheese into my Spanakopita and use whatever spices.
2) I throw in my left over/going bad apple/banana/fruits + cinnamon+ sugar, bake it as roll up. Simple and easy dessert for 1 person.
3) Believe u can make a "lazy man's" Chinese spring roll with this, or let's call it the Health Conscious Chinese spring roll (baked not deep fried). Anyone who tried please share experience here.(Don't forget to oil pastry) |
