大家好！我想参加短期的英语学习班，一直没有找到很好的相关内容。最近的华文报纸有成人英语班，都是华人社团办的，一般在3个月，现在还可以报名，但不知效果怎样？有在这方面有经验的吗？请给予意见啊：）

there is enlish progam for adult in woodland. the tuition is $50 for 10 week. the program started 27 Auguest, but if you can go there by person, maybe you can join it. i myself just registed today in level 4. there are only 14 students in my class. my class concentrate on speaking another class in level 4 concentrate in writing. class time is from 8:30-12:30 or 10:30-3:30. the address is 610 demarchais blvd. tel:767-1290. you can get off at "werdun" station go along street verdon  about 10 minutes. you can have a try, good luck!

Level 6 – Advanced Part 2

Goals:

To develop more knowledge of vocabulary and idioms and grammatical forms in English; to understand normal daily English in conversations and in writing, as for example the newspaper or TV news reports.

To learn more about Canada and its culture, history and geography.

To be able to hold a conversation about topics of interest such as the news, weather, environment, politics, sports, etc.

To improve pronunciation; (a) to correct and complete pronunciation of all 45 sounds in English (b) to stress syllables properly (c) to use correct intonation for sentences as a whole (d) to understand and use different tones conveying emotion and humour.

Materials:

real-life materials including articles from newspapers, magazines, and books; videotapes of news and documentaries.

Please Note: The class will be even more interesting if students bring in materials that they find interesting, written articles, internet information (printouts), or videotapes; all are welcome.

If students have time and interest, cultural activities such as museum visits etc. can be organized on Saturdays.

to benwamg and magic:
you only need pay $50 for registration; there is no tuition fee. the class time is from 27 August to 4 November. there are 26 students in my class right now. they come from all over the world. the teacher distributes some paper  for exercise everyday. there are different levels in this school. some of them focus on writing, some of them focus on speaking. it provides a good environment for english study. however, it is not the best one. there are also some english high school which is better than my school. for example jams-lying high school. it is located at 5440 notre-dame. but the registration fee is about $150(include book fee). tha class lasts 5 monthes. there are only less than 20 students in one class and the teacher is excellent. but it is not easy to register in it you have to knoe the datail date for registration of next term. i forget its number.

A new intermediate English class is strating on Sept. 20 at  tyark training school . Small group(Less than 10), native ESL teacher, Only 60CAD.
