What shall I say in Chinese instead of English Excuse me! if I would like to talk to a stranger?

For example, if I see a gentleman going in the wrong direction, I would say (in English): Excuse me, Sir! You go in the wrong direction. (If a lady is making the same mistake: Excuse me, Madam! You go in the wrong direction.). Note, that I do not know the person, so I cannot use his/her name.

As I understand, 对不起 is of no help here ...

I'm not the best person to help you in chinese, because i am also a 老外. But how about ‘劳驾' for 'excuse me'? I'm not sure if this is used in this context.

By the way, in English, you have to say "You are going in the wrong direction", not "you go".

I would say 不好意思 for "Excuse me" in this situation~
or simply use “你好" instead.

劳驾 is more like "do me a favor".

I went to the Westmount Library today afternoon, but there is nobody in the study room. What's wrong ?
