今天查bell的网站，发现流量限制的规定改成了上传下载混合流量10G,哪位知道这个规定是什么时候生效的？看来抱怨的人太多，bell也开始让步了？  :rolleyes:    :rolleyes:    :rolleyes:

BELL流量限制规定的描述是在上个月改的，让人看着有如按混合流量收费。而且我即刻试了下载超过5G，其超过部分收费为零。可是过了若干天，再打开收费栏一看，嘿，又收费了，上了BELL一当，幸好没有下载到10G。所以，请各位小心为妙，少上鬼佬的当。

我倒是相信贝尔真的要改成按照上传下载的总量收费，因为毕竟合同是有法律效力的。除非贝尔的网页维护人员没事找事，开大家一个玩笑。即便如此，我想贝尔也会吃进，按照合同（应该和用户收到的账单上的合同一样）收费，直到他们再次修改合同。
至于贝尔网上的那个查询收费的网页，只是一个参考罢了。就算不准确，你也拿它没辙。

I just inquiried the bandwidth usage from BEll and I got the reply as following, I thought it might be helpful for you:

Dear XXX,

You have reached the Business Office at Bell Sympatico(TM) Internet
service.

Thank you for your message. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.

We would first like to thank you for your continued support.

Beginning in december, your monthly upload and download bandwidth
allowance will be combined. Starting in december, your bandwidth
allowance will be 2GB total, combined upload and download . Please note
that any bandwidth charges incurred before your december billing date,
will be billed under the previously separated upload and download
allowances.

The new combined bandwidth allowance will give you greater flexibility
in managing your bandwidth activity and in choosing how you use your
total allowance each month.

Should you exceed your monthly bandwidth allowance, a $7.95 per Gigabyte charge is applicable, up to a maximum of $30 per month.  Should your
additional bandwidth activity charge exceed $30, you will only be
charged the set maximum; of course, if your additional bandwidth
activity charge is less than $30, the lesser amount will be applied.

We are confident that these changes will assist our members with their
ongoing transition towards the tracking and charging of bandwidth usage.

We trust the above will be of assistance. Should you require additional

For the DSL Basic users, the bandwidth usage limitation is up to 2GB. I
am wondering if it is for both download and upload combined, or it is
1GB for download, 1GB for upload, respectively.

...for my Sympatico...as i said ,they charged me 0.1G/0.79....

if they written 10G combined....is 5 upload + 5 downloads...

if u still have doubts...just try to download 5.2G--->if they charged u,for 0.2G,then next month ...limit to 5G...

isnt a good idea.....???
that what i did....i download until 5.2G(will cost u $1.59 only)
