看到几本好书，想买。
不知道他们的运货周期是多久？现在买，圣诞前能收到么？
还没setup account，先问一下。

买过. 平时大概两三星期, 因为海关要抽税, 圣诞节很难讲, 不过现在买肯定来不及. 建帐号时不要输信用卡号, 买的时候再输. 可以多比较一下加拿大的网上书店,价钱差不多的话(税后), 运输时间快很多. chapters.com只需两天, 甚至一天 (如果有货的话). 别忘了, 现在加币兑美金可不合算.

I have the same question as xingpu. I even asked amazon.com's customer service whether they know the Canadian custom cost on a shipment from them, but they don't know the amount. Could someone give us an example from his / her experience?

For Amazon.com, it's federal government tax around 7%. I am not sure cause it's long time ago.
Like if you buy BOOKS from chapters.com, you only pay 7% federal tax, no provincial tax. But if you buy video from chapters.com, you pay both.
If you buy computer books, Amazon.com, fatbrain.com or bn.com are good because they have more inventory than chapters.com. Other books, I suggest chapters.com.
