Below is an example of a new e-mail type of lottery scam.
This e-mail is very similar to the e-mails that individuals receive from alleged Nigerians pleading for help in retrieving money that is tied up in another country due to the death of a well know relative. Sadly, many people are believing these e-mails and respond only to lose substantial amounts of money.
Please do not respond to these e-mail messages in any fashion, as they are scams. There have been arrests made in other countries in this latest "lottery winner" scam and the losses are already over 1 million dollars.
The following is an example of the e-mail message being sent:
