关于发动机声音请教

HONDA CIVIC LX 98 1.6L 90000KM，试车时觉得发动机声音有点大，车主说这是因为HONDA车是为年轻人设计的，发动机声音大是这种车的特点，请高手指点是不是这样的。谢谢！

please put detail.what kind of sound?tell the owner you buy this car for your parents,they don't need this kind of sound.

Not because it is powerful, because the samll engine. Small engine is alway noise. Because it need higher RPM to pick up torque in order to give the drive a quick feeling.

Just follow louji said, what kind of noise. Regular noise is normal. Try to find out if it is metalic tick noise. If not metalic, than it's normal.

The mileage may be not true. The lower mileage, the quieter. But Honda is always noiser than Toyota, you don't know?

Cylinder knocking, lifter ticking, valves loosing, etc. This kind of cars need more care. (Coolant, Oil, filter and drive style)
