Any one know how to plea the Car ticket from Polices?

I got a big ticket $412. By my knowledge from Toronto, we can plea such tickets to the court. And normally, the police will not show up in the court so that the case will be cancelled at that time.

How about here? Please share with your expertise.

In your case, the cop may not necessary be at court. It's not sort of speeding, dangerous, etc. tickets, which is judged by cop.

Even the police is not present at the court, it doesn't mean you can win. I have that experience. The court has a lawyer to speak for that police upon to that police's report.

A friend told me that if you came from outside Quebec and you get a ticket, you can go to the court and explain that you don't know the law of Quebec, maybe you don't have to pay the ticket.
I don't know that is true or not.
