I once scratched a car slightly, before I found the owner of the car, somebody had already called 911 and reported a "hit and run", but without knowing that, since I couldn't find the owner of the other car, I called 911 myself and reported the accident, I was given a file # as a proof that I didn't hit and run.

I saved myself from getting a criminal record, it proved to me again that, being honest is always a big advantage.
