Just called PC MC, I'm consolidating the 2 sets of credit cards into 1 :p.  The procedures:

1.  FAX a signed request to Operations (1-866-437-6576) to request transfer of PC points, then
2.  Wait for 3-5 business day for transfer to take place, then (I would double check this by call or web)
3.  Call or FAX PC MC to cancel the credit card(s).

Note:
a.  Transfer of PC points can be amongst friends, don't need to be family.
b.  Make sure PC points are transferED before closing your credit card, else they can't do anything.
c.  I normally ask company to send me a confirmation letter on cancellation.  A bank personnel said it's good practice as that would ~"force" the Credit Card company to make sure that all records are proper, e.g. marking that in Credit Bureau.

The 1% rebate is on monthly TOTAL, then rounding (can't remember details).

Now, PC points are posted on subtotal of $ spending, every 2-3 business days.   My examples:

~??/11 100 points, for 2 reusable bags I used when shopping Provigo/Loblaw
~15/11 57 points, for $3.99+$1.69 at 2 stores
~24/11 675 points, for a $67.50 that I spend on 21/11

~$25 Welcome Bonus for on-line NEW application is still on.  A feedback below:
