If burner(=ring) doesn't work, check and change the fuse.  Check panel at the back of the stove(NOT behind stove), some open from top, some need to unscrew the small panel.

If fuses are OK, interchange burner, may be the ring element is finished (not that often).

If oven, change the ?? inside the oven.
