If you like salsa music, or like to dance salsa,
or like to watch people dance salsa.
Check this out.
There will be a big outdoor salsa concert
in front of Place des Arts tomorrow night, July 1.
The concert starts at 9:30pm
but make sure that you get there before 9pm
to find a good spot to watch the show.
The good spot should be about 30 feet
in front of the stage,
which is in the corner of St. Catherine and Jeanne-Mance street.
From there you can really see the band in action,
feel the beats, see the on-stage dancers perform.
There will be free salsa lessons beforehand.
Quoted from the official web site:

This year, the Festival extends an extra-special invitation to the general public to come dance the salsa. Prior to the Grand Événement General Motors, workshops will be offered between 6:30 and 8 p.m. by the dancers of Les Productions Caroline Paré, who will appear later on stage alongside the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. The workshops will take place at the following areas: the Ste-Catherine St. entrance to Complexe Desjardins, on the esplanade of Place des Arts (in front of the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal) and on Jeanne-Mance St. (between Sainte-Catherine and de Maisonneuve). Everyone will have the chance to become familiar with the basics of this highly communicative dance form. The sessions will consist of one hour of learning the steps, followed by 30 minutes of practicing with a partner, with coaching from the teachers. Festivalgoers will thus have the opportunity to fully participate in a unique evening of entertainment on Montreal's biggest open-air dance

The crowd is expected to exceed 100,000 people
so if you are prone to anxiety attack(claustrophobic)
in a big crowd, don't go there.
Also try not to bring baby stroller or very small kids as they'll feel uncomfortable
and probably too short to see anything in a huge crowd.
