Description of the concert:                                 Since 1939, this mythical charanga  has had the entire planet dancing to its light, cheerful and carefree  music, with its festive spirit. One of their big hits, El Bodeguero, was  even taken up by Nat King Cole. Cha-cha-cha, Son, Bolero – the always  flamboyant Aragón is a true symbol of Cuban popular music.

From Cuba to the entire world
In Cuba, success came with the  cha cha cha style of the early 1950s. A series of hits emerged,  including El Bodeguero, Los Marcianos and  El Rico Vacilòn, pushing the  group to the forefront of the national scene. Then it became known  internationally, with numbers such as Pare Cochero and El Paso de  Encarnación. In 1965, Orquesta Aragón and other groups began touring  internationally with “Music Hall of Cuba.” This was a huge success,  especially in Europe, where audiences were won over in a long series of  concerts.
As the years went by, the group changed, with some  members leaving and new ones arriving. Their energy and desire to play  together and for the audience kept pace with the early days, and  remained fully intact. In 1999, the album La Charanga Eterna marked the  60th anniversary of the orchestra’s founding, with guest artists  including Cuban diva Omara Portuondo, Puerto Rican sala singer Cheo  Feliciano and Congolese star Papa Wemba – a milestone in the group’s  history.
