When MP Jo Cox, a mother of two children, pro-remain, was killed one week before the Brexit referendum by Thomas Mair who linked to a US-based neo-Nazi group, it was certainly a tie-break, swung voters in favor of the remain although it was quite contrary before her death.
An insidious murder or shooting like this is always decisive, as the 3-19 shooting incident in Taiwan affected the election’s outcome. However, dramatically, according to the Guardian, “the Sun quotes Lacey as saying:’The Queen has no vote but she’s definitely Eurosceptic.’” Wow, a tie again!
As such, I will say, after the Brexit vote, either The Queen would like to re-consider abdicate if the remain wins, or Prime Minister David Cameron faces the administration challenge if the leave wins.
No matter what, when the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) ruled that the newspaper’s headline was “significantly misleading”, it implied that right-leading is acceptable and someone is leading in the referendum! |
