Master of Science is research degree, the main work is to help the professor do research and generally, it has RA financial support. And Master of Engineering is a courses option degree. The students take course instead of doing research. It's no  RA funding from professor.

前者是学位论文,是比较全面的专题研究报告(指硕士),后者是学术论文,能够在学术期刊上或学术会议上交流发表.比较多的指在学术期刊上发表.因此前者要有足够的工作量和相当的学术研究价值或应用价值.后者必须是有足够的学术或应用价值.供参考.
