The old R12 A/C can be modified to use r134.  The retrofit kit for modification is not expensive. You should also change the drier/accumulator when you modify the A/C. A new drier can protect the compressor for longer life.

R12的雪种根本买不到，就算有licence也没用，虽然可以用r134a，但是你的系统整个要改，应为两种雪种工况完全不同，不过你还可以不用改系统，就是直接充r414，r414可以替代r12完全没有问题，只不过r414比较贵，比r134a贵一倍。

you can recharge the refrigant by yourself, it is usually a small can (12 oz) with a can tap. I bought one from US, can be used for both R134a or retrofit for R12.
