This article is mumbo jumbo, lock, stock and barrel. The author drew his conclusion based on a ridiculous assumption—people should change their career goal only due to the switch of some factors, such as salary or job market, from without. Yes, it is true we should change ourselves with time, but what we should change and what we should not in our lives? That is a serious issue we should think about. Does money talk anytime? Is there anything else we can do except being a PHD or a scientist? What we should do for our interests, if you have another choice, do you want to be a layer or a businessman and are you sophisticated enough to deal with crooked persons? Can we trust the fickle and fluctuant job market? So PHD guys, don’t get confused—what you should do is to adjust yourselves as time changes, go your own way while not get totally changed. |
