私人first owner,有详尽维护记录。保养得不错。$3600含Test.

2.1997 Ford Escort LX, 自动档，107000km,Air conditioning,No CD,Dealer.
左边镜子镜框断了，车身个别有锈，以上问题，dealer同意修理。挡风玻璃有一处有细小裂缝,可能是挨小石子扎的。Dealer 说如果能通过safety test,就不修理玻璃了。（这个问题严重吗？有可能不修理就过吗？）价格＄3600，含各种test,还有7个月或11000km warranty on Engine system和transmission system.
Dealer 是印度的，长在非洲。据说买二手车最好不要找印巴人。但有这些warranty,我还能担心些什么呢。

3.1999 Hyundai Accent,自动档，158000km,（公里数很高）,no CD,no Air conditioning. 私人，车曾经被一人lease了3年。车保养情况一般。车头盖有局部轻微凹陷和锈。上高速110时，开始抖。现任车主有详尽定期保养纪录。$2600,啥都不包，即卖了就不管了。要过safety test，都得买主自己搞定.
请大家帮忙出出主意，先谢了。

3600刀以内就只能这样了。
只为过冬的话，没空调也就将就了。就算有空调也用不了多久！
日本车这个价只能买到95年左右的车，太贵了！

you can get Tercel 96 or 97 on this price, and much better than those cars you mentioned. If you have to buy one of them, Escort maybe is the best choice base on the Consumer Report(Car review), but I am a little worry about the dealer. I hope you can continue your searching and it is not hard to find a similiar car in Montreal.

But I was told Tercel is not a good car. And you are right, Escort is better than the others, and the problem is dealing with a dealer, especially from middle-east. But it must be some ways to reduce the risk when dealing with the dealer,right?

我看了一下你的描述，只有cavalier值的买，但是没有空调，"canadadriver"对98年cavalier的质量报告还好，没大的问题。我也开这车，2001年底买的开到现在（kilometer: 76000--120000），开了有4万多公里了。就是调了一次刹车($120)，换了一次电池($90)，换了一个什么油路cover($180)，自己换的尾灯$10. 这车还省油。8L/100K in HW. 10L/100K in Local.
winter: 13-15L/100K in local. 车子满结实。两次别人追尾，我的车一点没事。去年冬天有一天刚下的大雪，路滑，在一下坡ABS启动,刹不住撞了前面的一辆van，也没事。我感觉cavalier性价比比较好。the price still can negotiable since without air condition. the space about $200 . the owner give the price also a good price.
