一般大学都不会以物流作为一个单独专业，而是在商学院下的管理科学（management science）或运作管理（operations management）专业下的一个分支，McGill有一个MMM program也是类似的专业。

从学术上看，本科阶段，物流的课程应该在商学中的OPERATION MANAGEMENT，或者是INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING，在研究生以上，应该是INDUSTRIAL ENGINERRING，或者是MANAGEMENT SCIENCE，但都没有专门的课程叫LOGISTICS，因为从学术上看，都是学习PROCESS和算法，只有专门的培训课程才教授那种实际操作的

The course outline of Logistics Management at McGill:

You will study the logistics planning and control process. Logistics managers encounter a variety of decision problems in dealing with the flow of materials through the entire supply chain. We will focus on the following tasks: transportation management, facility location, procurement, and distribution management. A firm’s logistical competency depends on the level of coordination in the management of these functional areas. There is an increasing trend in many industries toward international diversification of operations.
