are you sure?
the sticker on the winshield usually tells you the millage for next checkup, not current oldometer reading.
if its a fraud, and you can prove your case, you will win.
here is the couse of action i suggest you to take:
1) go to the dealer and tell them you can prove that they altered oldometer and you can prove that. in most of the case, they can make a deal with you. if not,
2) if the amount is less than $1,000, make a call to cousumer protection bureau and they will tell you there is a court can deal with cases less than $1,000, the trail is fast and you don't even need a lawyer, the side who loses the case pays the court fee.
3) if the amout is over $1,000, it takes longer time for you to prepare the case and go through this lengthy leagal process. if your english is good, you can present youself and fight them in court. if your english is not good, the lawyer fee will far exceed the compensation you can be awarded from the defendent. |
