中国城买到过期药，有法可依？

今天气得我睡不着觉。竟然在中国城买到过期药（>$100)。请问有否法律保护消费者可以退换，甚至追究药店责任？谢谢。
药店作假手段高超，我会一一道来。

Thanks. I also located the actual Consumer Protection Act (http://www.canlii.org/qc/sta/p40.1/whole.html). I searched through this document but cannot find anything directly related to the expiry date of goods.

Could experts explain to us in plain language what I can do in my situation: the goods are expired well before the purchased date? We poor ordinary people who are not so clever to understand those legal terms? Thanks.

I purchased several kinds of nutrition medicine (perhaps should be deemed as vitamin kind, not a drug here). One of them (made in Hongkong) is with no indication of expiry date on the outside package. It was only when I back home opened the plastic-wrapped packge, opened the paper box that I finally found a line of expiry date on the INSIDE of the paper box! More over, there was a clear rectangular mark around the line of date. It seemed to be that someone (who?!) tried to cut off this line of date from the paper box, but finally gave up! The expiry date is 06/2000. And now I was also wondering who did the plastic-wrapping. Please think of the knife-cut marks!

What do you mean by "comfort"? Do you mean "give up and forget about it"?

I called the McGill legal information line (398-6792). They are very nice. They said the owner should reimburse or exchange. The question now is whether the owner will act fairly or try to escape the responsibility. I will let you know the result.

首先同那家店说退药，若不肯，可以告诉他法庭见。不要跟他嘈的。
去满地可小额法庭(在唐人街后面那个大building)告他，里面提供庭上
免费翻释。自己出场，只要出示买药收据和过期那个stamp给法官看,你
一定赢。
